Scouts thankful for tour, support

To the editor:

The Wellington Pack 440 Cub Scouts Bear Den 5 had the chance to go on a tour of their new middle school. It was very exciting for them to do a walk-through to see the new classrooms and of course the construction vehicles. We would like to thank Bill Skaggs of Ozanne for the tour. This was the second time the boys visited the site. The first time they didn’t get to go in the building so Mr. Skaggs invited them back and we greatly appreciated the opportunity.

We would also like to thank everyone who purchases popcorn from the Cub Scouts. The money they earn from the sales helps to defer the cost of camp. Camp is very exciting for the boys. It’s four days of activities including archery, BB guns, swimming, fishing, woodworking, and of course s’mores around the campfire.

The support from the following businesses has helped us have a great year: State Farm Insurance, Harrison Ford, Happy Tails Dog Grooming, Barnes DirtWorks, Poling Seamless Gutters & Shutters, 2 Frugal Fools Rubber Stamps, Village Market, Geyer’s, McDonald’s, Burger King, Subway, and Domino’s. They have helped us with Round Up, Fall Family Camp Out, Rain Gutter Regatta, Christmas Party, Pine Wood Derby, Cake Bake, and our Blue & Gold Ceremony. Thank you for helping defer the cost of our activities.

Many thanks to Whirlaway for letting us use their property to park cars during the Lorain County Fair week. That is also one of the ways that the boys earn money for camp. Thank you to all the wonderful people who use our fair parking lot. We greatly appreciate it. Thanks again from Wellington Cub Scouts Pack 440.
