Rosecrans will listen as school board member

To the editor:

I am writing to encourage your vote to elect Dan Rosecrans to the Wellington Exempted Village School District board of education.

He and his wife of 22 years, Jeanne Farr Rosecrans, are longtime residents of the school district (she, a graduate of Wellington High School) and are the parents of two daughters.

Both Megann and Rianna are high school students who participate in many school activities.

Dan is committed to helping establish an atmosphere of true communication between the school board and the community. At this time there exists a belief by most that the community’s input is neither wanted nor listened to as evidenced by the public’s time to speak at meetings being before any discussion by board members of current concerns. Oh yes, an additional “public” time has been recently added toward the end of meetings. It remains to be seen how often the chairman remembers to open that time to the public.

The “new voice” that Dan promises will be to air the thoughts and ideas of the community. He is open to all suggestions and will listen to each person that contacts him. He will act for the good of our students and in the best interests of our community.

I believe in him and ask your support for his candidacy with your important vote on Nov. 3.
