50th anniversary: Ivan and Lois Roberts

Ivan Stirl Roberts Sr. and Lois Sue (nee Hall) Roberts of Wellington will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on July 17.

Their children will hold a small celebration in honor of the 50-year marriage for family and friends at the Roberts’ home.

The couple were married July 22, 1966, at St. Paul Methodist Church in Monroe, Mich., in a double ring ceremony officiated by the Rev. Ray Lamb.

The Roberts have one son, Ivan Stirl Roberts Jr. and wife Tina (Provoznik) of Wellington; and two daughters, Irene Sue Harris and husband Ted of Wellington, and Lisa Shae Pritt of LaGrange.

They also have seven grandchildren: Joshua Roberts, Devin Hendricks, Alyssa Roberts, Nicholas Roberts, Jesse Pritt, Shayne Brady, and Amber Harris.

Ivan is a retired from General Motors. He enjoys working on his cars, tinkering around in his garage, and going to swap meets. He’s worked hard to support his family and still does.

Sue is retired. She has worked many jobs through her marriage but no job has compared to being a mom and grandma. She takes pride in her children and grandchildren.
