A Little Miss Firecracker was crowned for the first time in 12 years at Wellington’s July 4 Freedom Celebration on Saturday afternoon. Nine girls vied for the title, dressed from head to toe in stars, stripes, and red, white, and blue. Most of the girls seemed shy while standing on stage answering mini-pageant master of ceremonies Dalton Denny’s questions. Aylah Leiby, age six, was crowned by Wellington’s last Little Miss Firecracker, Jennifer Loudin.
