Proud rulers of the skies

These bald eagles have taken up residence on Jones Road near the Wellington Reservation Metro Park. Their nest is located to the northwest of the park, close to its lake where fish are abundant. Bald eagles don’t mind vehicle traffic, but they dislike people. Experts say it’s fine to look for the birds with high-powered binoculars or cameras, but be respectful of their habitat — don’t get too close.
