• March 5 at 2:06 p.m.: Karl Hunter, 24, of Elyria, was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of controlled substances. Police said he stumbled and fell into a yard on West Herrick Avenue, and when stopped said he had come from the Mosey Inn and was walking to his home in Elyria. Officers said he was far too intoxicated. During a pat-down, they found suspected marijuana on his person.

• March 5 at 2:51 p.m.: A theft complaint was lodged by a Bursley Road man.

• March 7 at 8 a.m.: Tools and scrap aluminum were reported stolen from the old McCormick Middle School on South Main Street.

• March 7 at 10:11 a.m.: An assault was reported at a Union Street home. No arrests were made.

• March 8 at 10:14 p.m.: Police conducted a drug investigation on South Street. No arrests were made.

• March 9 at 12:59 a.m.: Kaelyn Leary, 29, of Wellington, was arrested on a warrant through the city of Elyria. She was located when police originally responded to a report of a suicidal woman. Leary was not found to be suicidal, according to a police report.

• March 9 at 2:42 a.m.: Ceasar Bates, 35, of Oberlin, was arrested on two felony warrants through the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office.

• March 10 at 3:20 a.m.: Curtis Smith, 21, of Wellington, was arrested on a warrant through the Berea police department.
