Keith McKenzie of Wellington Boy Scouts Troop 414 has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest within scouting and was feted at a Court of Honor celebration Sunday, June 7 at First United Methodist Church in Wellington.
The Boy Scouts of America report that only four percent of all Scouts reach an Eagle rank.
McKenzie’s parents, Kevin and Karen McKenzie, are very proud of their son, who attained the Eagle rank Dec. 8. His project included updating the shot put and discus area of the Wellington High School track, including building four benches, weeding and leveling the area, spreading four tons of stone, and installing boundary lines.
