• Aug. 18 at 12:17 p.m.: An assault was reported at 608 North Main St.

• Aug. 21 at 1:35 a.m.: Officers responded to Fort’s Tavern for a criminal mischief complaint.

• Aug. 21 at 2:19 a.m.: A man contacted police after his door was kicked in at 210 South Main St. Police are considering three suspects.

• Aug. 21 at 2:33 p.m.: An iPod was reported stolen. No suspects were named in the report.

• Aug. 23 at 1:15 a.m.: Police responded to a possible overdose on Mckinley Avenue. Upon arrival, Joseph Mellott was unconscious, pale, and sweating profusely. The responding officer administered one vial of Narcan. A report said the man admitted to taking percocet but a search revealed no drugs. He was taken to the hospital.

• Aug. 24 at 8:25 p,m.: Officers investigated a trash dumping complaint on Wheeling Avenue. The report was forwarded to the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office Environmental Unit.

• Aug. 25 at 11:11 p.m.: A 14-year-old boy was cited with curfew violation while walking on North Mill Street.

•Aug. 26 at 8 a.m.: Terry Dotson, 47, and Dawn Hartley, 48, both of Norwalk, were charged with passing bad checks after an investigation at Wellington Implement. Police said they tried to buy generators and two chainsaws.Hartley also had a warrant for a separate offense.

• Aug. 26 at 4:20 a.m.: Protection orders were issued to two parties in a disturbance at a Prospect Street residence.

• Aug. 26 at 10:10 a.m.: Michele Piccolomini, 38, of North Ridgeville, was charged with wrongful entrustment of a vehicle. She was found in a car in a lot on West Herrick Avenue and is suspected to have been under the influence of alcohol. The vehicle was towed.

• Aug. 27 at 11:38 a.m.: A window was broken on North Main Street.
