Future tennis stars learned racket strokes July 18 at the LCCC Wellington Center. Jim Powers, assistant professor of physical education and wellness, made the sport accessible to kids of ages six to 11. “It’s nice to see kids get outside and be active,” Powers said. A grant from the U.S. Tennis Association was used to purchased balls, rackets, and nets.
