Pigs were let loose Tuesday morning inside the show ring.

Exhibitors went out in groups of eight or 10 to walk their swine around the ring and show the judge they had the best pig. Each 4-H’er showed their pig in two shows — showmanship and weight class.

In showmanship the judge was looking for exhibitors who kept their eyes on her, were very smooth while walking their pig, and kept the animal in the center of the ring.

She encouraged members to remember to never use their body parts to move the pig, only use the cane or wipe in your hand to guide it around the ring.
