Historian and retired police officer Al Leiby was sworn in Monday as an honorary detective with the Wellington police department. Mayor Hans Schneider did the honors while chief Tim Barfield presented Leiby with a newly-minted bicentennial badge as council members thanked Leiby for work put into the village’s 200th birthday celebration.
