CASSIE MARKEL, a sophomore psychology major of Wellington, has been named a Preview and Orientation guide at Mount Union College for the summer of 2010.
Preview and Orientation is designed to begin the college transition process for both students and parents. In addition to making student, faculty, staff and family connections, Preview will provide students with the foundation to succeed academically. This includes math and foreign language testing, learning about the general education requirements and meeting with an academic advisor to schedule classes for the fall semester.
The following students received their degrees during the University of Akron's 2009 fall communicant: MELISSA BURWELL of Sullivan received her master of arts in education; JOSHUA KAZMIERCZAK received his associate of applied science in surveying engineering technology and MARK RESAR received a bachelor of science in automated manufacturing engineering technology, both are from Wellington.
AMANDA ALLEN, daughter of Doug and Laura Allen of Wellington, was named to the Cedarville University dean's list for the 2009 fall semester. She is a junior majoring in graphic design.
