Police Blotters for Nov. 10
* Sept. 19, 1:51 a.m.: Lonnie J. Stanley of Lorain was placed under arrest for OVI. He was transported to the WPD where he declined to provide a breath sample. Stanley was charged with left of center, OVI refusal and was given a court date. He was released to a sober party on a $1,150 personal bond.
* Sept. 19, 3:10 a.m.: Robert Schramm, Jr. of Spencer and Jeffrey Hawley of Wellington were charged with disorderly conduct; additional charges could be forthcoming. Ryan Hormell of Sullivan was charged with disorderly conduct/intoxication, resisting arrest and obstruction of official business. He was transported to the Lorain County Correctional Facility.
* Sept. 19, 3:06 a.m.: Seth Goss of Sterling, Ohio, was charged with FRA DUS, display of plates, possession of drugs (psilocybin mushrooms), and drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Lorain County Jail.
* Sept. 20, 1:58 a.m.: Jacqueline Vonderau of Spencer was cited for a liquor violation; she was observed drinking alcohol on the sidewalk in front of Fort's Tavern.
* Sept. 20, 1:22 p.m.: James A. Widdowson of Wakeman was taken into custody due to having a warrant for his arrest through the Huron County Sheriff's Department for child support.
* Sept. 25, 12:39 p.m.: Officer Shelton met with a man at the WPD who advised that he has received threatening text messages. He explained he and his friend who lives in Massilion were in an argument and the friend is now threatening to kill him. Contact was made with the friend who was advised to stop having contact or he would be charged with harassment.
* Sept. 25, 12:39 p.m.: Effie R. Goss of Wellington was issued a citation for disorderly conduct, intoxication.
* Sept. 28, 7:18 p.m.: Jason V. Remines of Wellington was taken into custody in reference to warrants issued by the Oberlin Municipal Court for failure to appear.
* Sept. 29, 8:53 p.m.: Jimmy L. Bailes of Wellington was arrested for driving under a child support suspension third offense and was released on a $1,000 personal bond with a pending court date.
* Sept. 30, 2:01 p.m.: Officer Shelton met with a man at the WPD in reference to the theft of a Wii and five game cartridges. He advised when he arrived home his front door was open. Approximate value of the missing items is $450. There are no suspects.
* Oct. 4, 2:27 a.m.: Robert D. Whitford III of Sullivan was charged with OVI, and OVI with Excessive BAC. He was given a court date and released to a sober party on a $1,000 personal bond. It was noted his sample of breath was .177 BAC.
* Oct. 6, 2:09 a.m.: Dwight P. Collins of Wellington was placed under arrest for domestic violence. He was transported to the WPD where he was charged, fingerprinted and photographed. He posted a $100 cash bond and was given a $900 personal bond pending his court date. Collins was released to a friend and was instructed not to have any contact with his mother or son.
* Oct. 6, 7:50 a.m.: Benjamin D. Simmons of Lorain was transported to State Route 250 and Interstate 71 for an exchange with Richland County. It was noted Simmons has an active warrant through Richland County.
* Oct. 7, 8:25 a.m.: Officer Shelton spoke with a woman who advised that her car was vandalized while it was parked at her residence. She further advised that the passenger side mirror was hanging out of its mounting bracket. It was noted the woman's mother had her tire punctured a day prior.
* Oct. 10, 1:16 a.m.: Jessica A. Mohr of Wellington was charged with possessing drug abuse instrument, two counts of drug paraphernalia, safety belt, tail lights required, unsafe vehicle and turn signal. It was noted she was charged a month ago in Cleveland for trafficking drugs and is currently out on bail. Mohr was transported to the Lorain County Jail where she will be held until she can post a $2,081 bond our until her court date.
* Oct. 11, 2:12 a.m.: Jeffery D. Wright of Wakeman was arrested for Disorderly Conduct Persist. After calming down Wright was processed and released to a family member. He was given a personal bond in the amount of $250.
* Oct. 11, 11:06 a.m.: Lee Weber of Ashland was issued a citation for disobeying a traffic control device (railroad gates). When asked why he tried to beat the train Weber indicated he was urged by his passenger who did not want to wait for the train.
* Oct. 16, 2:28 a.m.: Officer Varner observed a vehicle to roll through a red light. A traffic stop was conducted and the officer learned the elderly driver appeared to be confused. Contact was made with the man's family in Amherst. A nephew arrived to the station to collect the man and informed the officer the family has tried to stop him from driving because they are worried for his safety.
* Oct. 16, 4:52 a.m.: Officer Melda was dispatched to a West Herrick Street apartment for a domestic dispute. The officer learned the couple had been in an argument over their recent rocky relationship. Both parties were advised that a report would be on file at the WPD. Not further action was taken.
* Oct. 17, 9:21 p.m.: Alan R. Studd of Lorain was placed under arrest for OVI and speed. Studd was released to a family member on a $1,100 personal bond with a pending court date. It was noted Studd's BAC was .098 and he was traveling 51 in a posted 35 mile an hour zone.
* Oct. 19, 1:50 a.m.: Michael E. Crawford of Elyria was served with a bench warrant for failure to appear issued through the Oberlin Municipal Court.
* Oct. 21, 12:06 a.m.: Carter D. Page, Jr. of Wellington was placed under arrest for domestic violence. Page was given an opportunity to have his eye looked at but refused. Due to the injury he was transported to Allen Medical where he received five stitches prior to being transported to the Lorain County Correction Facility.
* Oct. 24, 12:48 a.m.: Daniel L. Lyons of Wellington was charged with DUS, no safety belt, failure to obey traffic control device and possession of drugs. Danielle N. Hansohn of Wellington was charged with wrongful entrustment of a motor vehicle. Lyons and Hansohn were released on a personal bond with a pending court date.
* Oct. 25, 1:33 a.m.: Bethany D. Paisley of Norwalk was charged with OVI, OVI Under 21, left of center and underage consumption. She was released to a family member on a $1,250 personal bond with a pending court date. It was noted Paisley provided a sample of breath which was .086 BAC.
