Secretary's dismissal not right

To the editor:

The "goof troop" has done it again. I am mad. After nine years of loyalty and love for the fair and the people who attend and make it run, Juanita Wright, our interim secretary, has been told she in not needed. Mr. Twining and Mr. Pickworth knew she could not collect unemployment and did not give a nine-year employee any severance pay. Make any excuse for letting her go. None is good enough. What a loss of knowledge and a wonderful, dependable employee who you had only praise for.

Find out who is running for a director of the Lorain County Fair. Don't vote for a name. Attend some meetings see how they treat guests.

Call for the resignation of the executive board and the personnel committee and think for yourself. Stand up for what is right and feel good about yourself for the next 29 to 30 days of the month.

When they wear their green jacket for one week out of the year, people should clap, not laugh. The board's integrity is hanging by a string.
