Fire department saved home
To the editor:
On Dec. 15, our house suffered a chimney fire which if not of the following could have turned out to be a greater tragedy than it was.
First and foremost, we would like to thank the Wellington Fire Department, Chief Walker and his crew for their timely response and efficiency. The crew endured an 18 degree night to save our house for which we are very grateful. The following people are in our hearts with much gratitude for making this an event less tragic as well. Neighbors, friends and family: Tim and Jan Marks, Emily Cole and Family, Julie Twining, Bren Leiby, Carrie Benton, Wally Fahler, Derick Oswald and Family, and Mr. and Mrs. John Gajoch. Also, those wonderful women (and spouses) of the Wellington Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. The above brought their time, food, blankets, and good cheer to help us remember what a great community of people we are surrounded with and grateful to know. Bless you all.
