Roger, Beverly James to celebrate 50th
Roger and Beverly (Sheffield) James will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 19, 2009. Rev. Richard Wilson performed the 1959 ceremony at Pittsfield Methodist Church. They have been at their current residence for 37 years.
Mrs. James is retired from the Oberlin Clinic and Allen Hospital in Oberlin. Her hobbies include blowing, reading and camping.
Mrs. James is retired from Forest City Technologies in Wellington. His hobbies include woodworking and camping. They are members of the First Congregational Church in Wellington.
The couple have five children, Darrell (Lisa) of Covina, Calif., Dawn (Anthony) Hein of Grafton, Diane Kayle of Amherst, Dean (Deirdre) of Lorain, and Denise James of Amherst; and seven grandchildren.
The couple's children are hosting a party on Sunday, Sept. 20 at Penfield Township Hall from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., with an open house from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The gift of your presence is their only request.
