Wellington wrestling coach John Sedlick was one of four coaches inducted into the Ohio High School Wrestling Hall of Fame during a ceremony prior to the state championship finals Saturday night in Columbus.

“This was fantastic and a dream come true,” Sedlick said. “I’ve been coming here forever and have seen all the other guys get in, and now I’m in an elite group. I’m just blessed to be here.”

In his 44 years coaching, Sedlick has coached six state champions, 31 state placers, and 49 state qualifiers. He has also led his teams to numerous conference championships, including this year’s Patriot Athletic Conference title.
