Girls soccer parties after PAC title, team honors

The 2017 Wellington Dukes girls soccer team concluded its season with a banquet on Monday, Nov. 20.

After a 13-4-2 showing this fall, which included 10 shutouts, the event was a celebration of the girls’ Patriot Athletic Conference championship title as well as special awards earned by individual players.

Honors included:

• Jill Laposky, Defensive Player of the Year.

• Victoria Horoschak, Coach’s Award.

• Emma Horoschak, Offensive Player of the Year.

• Makaylin Moore, Duke of the Year.

• Faith Alley, Most Valuable Player.

• Allie Starner, Senior’s Award.

• Coach David Leigh, PAC 12 Coach of the Year.

• Lauren Alley, Rookie of the Year.
