An early 3-0 lead quickly soured April 26, when the Dukes boys found themselves tied up at 4-4 by the fourth inning against the Brookside Cardinals. They struggled to a 9-9 standoff and went into extra innings, only to fall when the ‘Cards plated a run in the top of the eighth. Brookside won 10-9.
