The Lady Dukes topped the Brooklyn Hurricanes Wednesday 37-34 and improved to 2-1 on the season. The girls were tied 10-10 after the first quarter and Brooklyn held a steady 18-15 lead going into halftime. Wellington took over in the second half and overpowered Brooklyn in the paint to take a 29-27 lead by the end of the third quarter, shutting down the ‘Canes in the final minutes.
