Wellington Dukes volleyball players honored with awards

Wellington’s Cara Hurst, Ezra Ohly, Jessica Storrow, Alexis Lehmkul, Mckenzie Wilson, and Savannah McKee each won a team award.


Eight Lady Dukes volleyball players received awards Sunday at the team’s banquet. The girls finished the season 2-20 overall.

Cara Hurst received the 2015 Duke Award, Ezra Ohly the 2015 Most Improved Award, and Jessica Storrow is the 2015 Top Offensive Player.

Alexis Lehmkul was named First Team All-District in Division III, the 2015 Top Offensive player, and the team’s Most Valuable Player.

Mckenzie Wilson received First Team All-County, Second Team All-District in Division III, and 2015 Top Defensive Player. Savannah McKee was honored with the 2015 Coaches Award.

Sami White was honored with First Team All-County, Second Team All-District in Division III, and Wellington’s volleyball Scholar Athlete Award.

Freshman Erin Frenk was named Second Team All-District in Division III.
