Kettle campaigners did amazing job last year

To the editor:

To all the donors who placed something in the kettles this Christmas, maybe even multiple times, and to the individuals, families, civic organizations, churches and school clubs of Wellington and the surrounding area who took the time to stand and ring the bell, we humbly say thank you for supporting the 2015 Red Kettle Campaign.

The support for this year helped exceed the 2015 goal. Funds raised from this campaign will stay in the 44090 area to help with the needs of families and individuals.

A special thank you to Farm and Home Hardware, Geyer’s, and Village Market for permitting the volunteers to ring the bell from the end of November through the Christmas season. Rite Aid and the Wellington Bakery hosted counter kettles during the campaign and Dimitri’s keeps a counter kettle throughout the year.

The Salvation Army is a faith-based organization and the money raised is used for local families and individuals who need assistance. We appreciate the members of the Congregational Church Wellington, Methodist Church Wellington, the Brighton and Rochester Methodist Church, and the Fellowship Church as well as all who faithfully sign up to ring the bell every year.
