Printer error caused wrong pages for some readers

Due to an error by the company that prints our newspapers, pages two and nine of the Enterprise were actually taken from our sister paper, the Oberlin News-Tribune, in exactly half the copies of our July 6 edition.

Our Lorain County office covers the news — we don’t have a press on site. We hire the Sandusky Register to print our pages. While everything on our end showed the proper Wellington pages ready to run, a mistake by the Register’s press operator caused the wrong pages to be published in error.

This may have led to some confusion for many of our loyal readers, for which we apologize. It caused a jumped story from page one to run twice. It left out four advertisements that were slated to print. It omitted photos from the 98th Annual Rochester Homecoming on July 4.

The silver lining: All obituaries and classified ads ran as intended.

Again, we apologize to our readers for this mistake. If you received one of the incorrectly printed copies and would like a free replacement, you can visit our office at 42 South Main St., Oberlin; or call us at 440-647-3171 and we’ll mail you a copy. The number of extra copies we have are limited.
