Therapy Dogs International is teaming up with the Herrick Memorial Library this summer to attract readers of all ages. Nine-year-old Grady Carlson was spotted reading to his new friend, Putter. The dog’s owner said they will return to the library weekly over the summer months, which prompted Carlson to promise he’d also be back on a regular basis. Therapy Dogs International is a network of volunteers founded in 1976 that finds suitable canines for school, hospital, nursing home, and library visits.
