Every year Wellington High School holds a fun day the last day before Christmas break.

This year, the day was called Wellington Winter Wonderland and was organized by the National Honor Society. Every student was invited to join in one of the many different events and encouraged to donate items for charity.

The Wellington FFA Chapter this year asked students to help make tie blankets. Supplies for the 40 blankets were purchased with donations that the chapter received. Students who signed up to participate were in charge of cutting the fabric and putting it together to make the blankets.

The idea to do this came from the Wellington FFA’s building communities committee, chaired by Miranda McDonnell and Dylan Andolsek with MiKailah Godsey and Jillian Sizer serving as assistant chairs.

Completed blankets were donated to a local shelter.
