Area churches brought the Christmas story to life Saturday night on Wellington’s village green with live animals, magi, shepherds, and the Wellington Community Choir.
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.
And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, “ Don’t be afraid, for look, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”
“For today in the city of David there has been born for you a savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
Christmas songs spoke to the hundreds gathered in Wellington for the performance.
