Two teenagers were hurt in an ATV rollover crash about 5:10 p.m. Wednesday on Whitney Road in Pittsfield Township.

Christopher Mohorman, 19, of Wellington, and an unidentified 17-year-old girl were heading east near Mohorman’s home when the crash occurred, said Sgt. Tim Hoffman, Ohio Highway Patrol Elyria Post assistant commander.

Mohorman told authorities he lost control when he hit gravel, swerving left about 20 yards and rolling over once into a ditch.

“It seems like he might have over-corrected,” Hoffman said.

Mohorman had chest, neck, and shoulder pain, said Wellington fire chief Mike Wetherbee, who was uncertain of the girl’s injuries.

They were hospitalized at Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin. The crash occurred about a mile-and-a-half west of state Rt. 58.
