Three show off trade skills in Kentucky

Three Lorain County JVS students competed in June at the National Competition of SkillsUSA in Louisville, Ky. — two bringing home medals.

Darian Arnold of Amherst competed in the Internetworking competition against 46 other state winners and earned a silver medal.

Logan Perry of Midview competed in the IT Servicing competition against 42 other state winners and took a bronze medal.

Brian Duta of Keystone competed in the Plumbing competition against 48 other state winners and placed in the top third of all plumbing competitors.

In addition, Tyler Hambel of Keystone participated as a national voting delegate from the state of Ohio.

SkillsUSA is a career-technical youth club comprised of students, teachers, and industry working together to ensure that America has a skilled workforce.
